Sarah Funda, Data Entry & Outreach Coordinator
Sarah is originally from Germany where she graduated in Classical and Contemporary dance. She spent a few years in Madrid, Spain, collaborating with different institutions as a dancer and choreographer as well as teaching English, German, French and Spanish to children and adults. In 2019, she moved to Honduras, where she is currently in charge of the volunteer program at a bilingual school. She is responsible for hiring, training and supervising volunteers as well as the management of the scholarship program at the school. Sarah is also pursuing a degree in Health Science at University of the People. Through her work in Honduras, she has seen the vulnerability of the LGBTQ+ population in Central America, as well as the struggles that migrants face on their journey and she is particularly interested in the intersectionality between the two. She is excited to join the team at AsylumConnect and apply her knowledge to the expansion of the Mexico Catalog.
