Rubina is a Canadian immigration lawyer with experience in various practice areas. She handles Refugee Claimants, Refugee Sponsorships, Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications and other immigration cases. A substantial portion of her work includes pro bono and legal aid services. Rubina also teaches law classes to undergraduate students to remain connected with her community.
Rubina graduated from Thompson Rivers University, where she received a Law Foundation of BC Scholarship and obtained her law degree. She was called to the Bar of BC in 2016. Rubina also received her Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) degree at Simon Fraser University in 2011.
Rubina believes in working from the ground up and practices and teaches law to create social change. She is a passionate advocate for historically disenfranchised groups including immigrants, the LGBTQ and women. Rubina is happy to be part of AsylumConnect because it is a platform to make the law accessible and workable for those who need it.
