Megan Schippmann, 2021 Junior Board

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Megan is a Senior Associate Strategist on the Global Commodity Strategy and MENA Research team at RBC Capital Markets in New York City. In addition to her role researching geopolitics, commodities, and clean energy, Megan serves as a Co-Chair of RBC’s PRIDE USA Employee Resource Group. She is passionate about fostering strong and supportive LGBTQ+ environments, and works to promote the professional success of RBC’s LGBTQ+ employees as well as bolster the broader community.
Megan graduated with a BA from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs with a concentration in International Environmental Resources and a foreign language focus in Mandarin. In the past, she has worked on projects for the American Red Cross in regards to international humanitarian law, as well as refugees and asylum seekers. Megan is thrilled to be a member of the team working to cultivate the mission of AsylumConnect and provide resources to fellow LGBTQ+ community members seeking asylum.
