Current Employer & Position Title: Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), Consultant: Gender and Education in Emergencies
Lauren holds a M.A. in International Educational Development with a concentration in International Humanitarian Issues from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.A. in Linguistics from University of California, Berkeley. A passionate advocate for education in crisis and conflict contexts, Lauren has experience in teaching, curriculum development, and school and non-profit management and has worked in Morocco, France, and the United States. She is currently employed as a Gender and Education in Emergencies Consultant for the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), a network that brings together UN agencies, NGOs, governments, practitioners, and academics to ensure that the right to education is met for refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced people.
A self-proclaimed crazy cat lady, Lauren enjoys baking, travelling, and learning new languages.
