Gioia Kennedy, Research & Policy Analyst
Gioia Kennedy is a New York City based advocate for marginalized communities, particularly through an environmental justice lens.
Gioia earned their bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University- New Brunswick in history and french and is currently pursuing their master’s degree in public administration at New York University. While attending graduate school, Gioia also works full time at NYU School of Law, providing administrative support to the Student Affairs team. They believe in the power of data and research to inform effective policy and are grateful for the opportunity to hone these quantitative research skills at AsylumConnect.
As a member of the queer community, Gioia is very excited to volunteer with AsylumConnect to join a community that champions an intersectional, wholistic approach to aiding LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.
