Emmie Wedeking, Data Entry & Outreach Coordinator (U.S.)
Emmie was born and raised in Michigan. In 1994 she joined the U.S. Army, where she served as a paralegal in the Judge Advocate General Corps. Her time in the military allowed her to travel to many U.S. states and foreign countries. Emmie’s work in the legal field grew her deep passion for civil and human rights. She has a combined 18 years’ experience as a paralegal, both within and out of the military. She is now working as a regulatory compliance professional within the healthcare industry. Emmie splits her time between the Sandhills of North Carolina and Northeast Ohio. She is grateful to be a part of AsylumConnect and the chance that it offers her to help persecuted and marginalized LGBTQ+ folx.
