Ceren Ozgul, UX Research Lead
Ceren Ozgul is a cultural anthropologist and a UX researcher, specializing in ethically responsive approaches to the intersection of legal and tech issues. She has worked with refugees and asylum seekers in Europe and the Middle East and conducted research on conscientious objection to compulsory military service by the LGBTQi individuals and religious minorities.
Originally from Istanbul, Ceren has a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology with a specialization in legal anthropology and anthropology of religion from CUNY, Graduate Center.
Beyond UX and academia, Ceren writes about food tech and culture. In the rest of her time, she obsessively listens to Bollywood and soccer podcasts.
