Azucena Hunsaker, Data Entry & Outreach Coordinator
Azucena is a undergrad student with a dual major in Spanish and Global Studies and will graduate in the fall of 2020. Her senior thesis focuses on asylum seeker’s human rights violations at the borders. Azucena was brought, by her parents, to the United States as a migrant child from Mexico in hopes of a better future. Azucena loves spending time with her husband, three children, dog and two cats. Together they like to take trips to the Oregon coast and to visit family in Mexico. They love hiking and taking family bike rides. With her personal experience as a child brought into a foreign country not knowing the customs or language, she is both passionate in assisting others who may be experiencing hardship. Azucena is constantly seeking new opportunities to better this world for all people.
