Amber Hanke, Program Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator Intern
Amber is from Wheaton, Illinois. She is a fourth-year student at Augustana College and is double majoring in Anthropology and Women & Gender studies with a minor in Public Health. After she graduates from Augustana, Amber hopes to get her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health so she can work to impact global policy issues and inequalities regarding all aspects of human rights. Amber has experience in volunteering at other non-profits including NAMI DuPage, The Warehouse Project & Gallery, and Soroptimist. She also was the Community Outreach and Program Intern for Girl Scouts where she helped run programs for girls in underserved areas. Recently, Amber finished a program through Family Shelter Services so she may give resources to victims of domestic violence. She loves her dogs, Netflix, reading, and all forms of potatoes. Amber is excited to join AsylumConnect and make a difference in helping others!
