On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court granted an emergency request filed by Idaho officials, allowing Idaho's ban on gender-affirming health care for transgender youth to be enforced across the state.

"The Idaho measure, which seeks to block treatments such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy, is one of more than 20 enacted by conservative states targeting care for transgender youth."

A: 2023 and 2024.

A: Product Manager, SimpleCitizen.

A: Escondido, CA.

Q: Where are you currently based?
A: Bremerton, WA (Greater Seattle).

Q: What does InReach's mission (to match LGBTQ+ people facing persecution and discrimination with safe, verified resources) mean to you?
A: InReach's mission means sustained progress to me. LGBTQ+ rights have experienced so many ebbs and flows during my life, and InReach helps protect individuals during the ebbs and propel them during the flows!

Q: Why did you join the InReach Young Professionals Board Program?
A: I joined InReach because LGBTQ+ advocacy is extremely important to me. My personal life moves me frequently and I was looking for a remote-friendly opportunity to continue to support. InReach fits that perfectly!

Q: What's your favorite thing about being an InReach Young Professionals Board member?
A: I really like that I'm able to choose my own adventure on the YPB. There are some weeks where I can't fit anything in, but there are others when I have time to dedicate and I'm able to make an impact with that time through my YPB involvement.

Q: What's your hope for InReach's future? What can we achieve together?
A: We can't prepare for every possibility in the years to come, but we can continue to get stronger and support those around us. My hope for InReach is that it serves as a ripple effect and empowers people through whatever is to come. ❤️

Q: One fun fact?
A: I only eat overripe bananas.
