How Do I Find Local Resources?

WHAT IS THE ASYLUMCONNECT CATALOG?

The “AsylumConnect Catalog” is the first and only resource website and mobile app designed for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. In 2018, we added a new resource page to connect asylum seekers in Mexico with local LGBTQ-affirming services and support.

If you are a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ+) person resettling in Mexico, traveling through Mexico or waiting at the Mexican border to seek LGBTQ+ asylum in the United States, you can search our free resource catalog to connect with local LGBTQ-friendly organizations.

How To Find Help

Here’s how it works:
  1. Select your language and Mexico as your country
  2. Select a city from the dropdown menu under “Support in Mexico” to view local LGBTQ-friendly organizations
  3. Scroll down the page to learn more about the U.S. LGBTQ asylum process

Questions?

Go to our FAQs page to view answers to some common questions about AsylumConnect and using our free website and app to find safe services for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and other LGBTQ+ people in need.
