What You Will Do

AsylumConnect’s free tech resource platform is a SAFPLACE.

We verify every direct service provider to be: 1) active, 2) LGBTQ+ affirming, and 3) accessible to asylum seekers prior to inclusion in our free resource app. We also re-verify (repeat our tailored vetting process) every direct service provider listed in our app at least once every 6 months. AsylumConnect’s resource verification process is the most comprehensive available and is essential for ensuring the safety and trust of our userbase.

This engagement opportunity allows employees to learn more about the intersectionality between LGBTQ+ rights and immigration while contributing directly to AsylumConnect’s innovative tech product through making verification phone calls to direct service providers.

How It Works

  • Employees will complete AsylumConnect’s virtual training program where they will learn in-depth about the state of domestic and international LGBTQ+ rights, LGBTQ+ terminology, immigration law and policy, the double marginalization of LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, and AsylumConnect’s unique verification and outreach process.
