Celebrated on March 31st, Trans Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice.

Did you know?: For every $100 awarded by US foundations only 28 cents specifically support LGBTQ+ issues and only 4 cents focuses on trans communities. Only five US trans-focused and trans-led nonprofits have budgets over $1 million.

Trans women of color continue to face an epidemic of violence in the United States. Already in 2022 at least five trans Americans have been killed, with almost every victim being a Black or Latina trans woman.
